This is the last 5K race of my career! 5K is too hard! 

I tried my old strategy of hanging back and then accelerating through the field. The first K was pretty reserved, but then the 2nd K was way too fast, and I passed people I shouldn't have passed, and then I couldn't keep ahead of them, and then I blew up, and wanted nothing more than for the race to be over with! Oh well.

My mom won first place in her age group! Andrew was 2nd boy. Laura beat Grandad :-)

My final time was 23:10. Seventh place. 3rd AG. Pancakes and syrup for post-race food.
