The triathlon training blog of Phil Barnes

Woot, woot.

Hey, it's my blog, and I'll toot my horn if I want to.

Tonight's duathlon was a PB, and by a lot; 50:41 ... a 53 second PB (huge over a sprint du of 2-15-4).

Part of it is certainly a new found strong position on the bike, plus correct tire pressure, plus better tires; but, certainly a good chunk is the dividends of 'Ironman' training (and the benefits of being 15 lbs lighter). The PB comes at the perfect time - no du next week, and we'll miss the Canada Day du too. A little R and R over the next few weeks is on the schedule, so it will be just casual runs and some leisure biking, and then onto some long and slow endurance training.
