Long Run: Missed.

19K was on the books for Sunday. I had to drop it because of a crippling pain in my left leg. Turns out it wasn't such a bad run to miss. I was hung over anyways, and I would have had to miss the first part of the hockey game.

My friend Hal Higdon provides this pearl: "Don't be afraid to modify workouts occasionally when it seems appropriate. The general pattern of the program--the steady buildup--is more important than what you do on any one day."

I went for a swim today, and I have no problems so far. 5K on the books for tomorrow, and this week is a "stepback" week anyways meaning a shorter run this Sunday.

Next Sunday: 23K (I've never run more than 22 before...)
