Cool looking product

I lost count of my laps last night at the pool. No biggie right? Yes - it drives me nuts when that happens.

Oddly enough, as I was maneuvering the web last night, an ad popped up for this interesting gadget:

The Swimovate Pool-Mate Swimming Computer.

Genious

Using accelerometer technology, it features Lap counter, Time, Average Strokes per lap, Speed /100m, Distance, Calories, Set times, Pause function, Efficiency Index, Large Memory, Alarm and fully functioning stylish digital watch, Water Resistant to 50m.

Just turn it on and swim.

Is it too late to add this to my Christmas list?

Cross Country Addict

Or as the hip kids call it- trail running.

I honestly never thought I would like it as much as I am. Half of my last 30 runs have been cross-country on the trails at work. Given that it is December 4th today, and that there's still no snow, I snapped a few pics along the way.

Snap, again.

08:33 for 500m. I need to find 8 seconds somewhere.

My buddy, Mario, was selected to be one of the local torch bearers for the 2010 Olympic games. Here's some footage of him in training: http://olympictorchmario.blogspot.com/2009/12/my-olympic-torch-training.html
