The 100-run challenge start date this year was December 15 - and although I knew I'd never run 100 for 100, I made sure to run that day. Maybe I'd make it to 10 for 10.
Well, last night, I finished my 30th run in 30 days. By far the most I've ever run in a 30 day span. I must admit, I took the easy route - most my runs were 30 minute 5Ks. The longest run being 14 kms, and most runs were indoors on the treadmill. However, last night, at the 27 minute mark of run number 30, I started to smile uncontrollably, knowing that in 3 minutes' time, I'd be accomplishing something pretty neat.
I'm taking a few days off the running now. On Monday, I'll be starting an 18-week plan for the Ottawa Marathon.... YES, it's almost time!
The 30 for 30 sure helped keep the extra Christmas calories in check, and I'm feeling more confident about the Marathon training.
