What If... the Tinman time scenarios

I don't want to be a slave to a target time. I think that would set me up for dissapointment. But, I've been running some "what if" scenarios on the Triathlon Calculator.

Never having done the Tinman course, I have no idea what to expect.

Never having done a half-ironman, I have no idea how my body will hold up.

Being that the race is June 30th, the weather will be a huge factor.

But just for fun, here are some computations (assuming 2 x 5 minute transitions):
a. 2:00 /100 m swim, 30 km/hr bike, 6:00 /km run = 5:55:14
b. 1:40 /100 m swim, 30 km/hr bike, 6:00 /km run = 5:48:14
c. 2:00 /100 m swim, 27 km/hr bike, 6:00 /km run = 6:08:48
d. 2:00 /100 m swim, 27 km/hr bike, 6:30 /km run = 6:19:21
e. 2:00 /100 m swim, 25 km/hr bike, 6:00 /km run = 6:24:48
f. 2:00 /100 m swim, 25 km/hr bike, 6:30 /km run = 6:35:21

With the exception of the half-marathon, I've always been under my predicted times.

I'm going to take a stab at 6:20:00, based loosely on scenario d.

Merely a prediction: not a goal.
