That Forerunner looks like quite the neat little gadget. Do you find it does a pretty good job at tracking your running and biking when you do duathlons, or is it better when it is set for a single sport at a time.
Phil,
great race. What was your plan for distance like du? Do u go hard out and keep at it until you blow up?
I got a du later in mid Sept. Just for fun. Nothing biggie.
Couch- I've had it for about 7 months now, and have used it almost exclusively for running. I find it does a very good job of tracking the pace, and distance. Wednesday, was the first time I tried the "multi-sport" mode. It seemed to work ok - the run course, goes through the woods, though, and the satellite lost contact for most of the run, so it didn't report accurate distances.
Cliff- My stategy for this distance is usuall go 90% for run 1, 99% for bike and give whatever I have left for run 2 (usually turns out to be 80%)
How do you get your 301 into Multisport mode. I can't seem to figure mine out.

Paul- I'll be honest with you, it's not as obvious, as you might think. You have to go into "Training Assistant" menu, and then MultiSport is an option. You can set it up whether or not you want to record transitions, what sports you are doing, and in what order. Reviewing the stats after a MultiSport event is not straight forward either. In my mind, there is room for improvement on the firmware for this feature.
